Duties include managing the company’s registered intellectual property portfolio and advising internal stakeholder on intellectual property matters. The role is global in nature.

Qualifications:

- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Minimum 2 years qualified/level of legal experience gained either in private practice and/or as in-house corporate legal counsel operating across borders.
- Experience dealing with intellectual property matters, especially trademark prosecution, clearances, filings, and renewals
- Must be fluent in English with excellent written and oral communications skills to interact confidently and effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding commitment to internal and external customer service.
- Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, operational and decision-making skills; comfortable with using technology to support these.
- Strong skills to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Sound administrative and time management skills, with sharp attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capability to build strong, trusted and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders across different functions and cultures, positively influencing the behavior of multiple stakeholders, and successfully balancing legal issues against pragmatic commercial solutions.
- Additional experience with patent prosecution, internet law and/or transactional matters is a plus

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to the business, sales, technology and procurement teams on IP matters
- Manage the Groups patent and trademark prosecution docket
- Work closely with the Marketing team to protect the LSEG Brand
- Coordinate activities with outside counsel and docketing teams regarding IP filings and enforcement actions (with a focus on cost management)
- Perform trademark clearance searches
- Manage the trademark renewal process
- Collaborate with GSOC and Cyber Security teams on enforcement actions
- Work closely with other attorneys on legal projects
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of intellectual property legal developments that impact LSEG
- Research and respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders that relate to intellectual property matters and provide status reports as applicable.
- Assist with IP due diligence in the context of M&A transactions
- Sharing responsibility for maintaining, updating and revising intellectual property processes and playbooks, supporting on special projects where required.
- Helping to identify, research, assess and brief senior lawyers and business stakeholders on potential and actual risks and legal exposures and assist in taking appropriate proactive and remedial measures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management from time to time on a permanent or temporary basis.
