- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, displaying sound abilities to communicate at all levels
- Act speedily to resolve problems, conflicts and bottlenecks as required
- Use influence and negotiation to achieve win-win outcomes
- Liaise with key stakeholders to track progress on tasks, manage expectations and ensure internal clients' needs are met
- Proactively communicate, share information and facilitate discussion and debate
- Anticipate and manage conflict, demonstrating an ability to resolve differences, particularly where these may be stalling the implementation of agreed plans
- Plan technical debt road maps
- Plan run and change activities
- Co-ordinate people and resources to achieve agreed objectives
- Provide hands-on direction, guidance, coaching and mentoring to team members as required
- Address performance issues
- Represent the area at relevant BT and business forums Address root causes of problems
- As and where required, execute specific deliverables
- Keep abreast of relevant regulations
- Monitor minimum requirements for IT projects
- Ensure minimum IT standards are implemented
- Ensure audit capabilities are delivered
- Collaborate with IT Auditors on annual system and IT audits
- Ensure accurate reporting to SARB
- Assist with promoting and supporting life [1] cycle governance processes for managing business solutions
- Conduct risk analyses and mitigate risk where appropriate
- Set the pace and tone for the team and ensure everyone is focused on the right priorities

- Define performance contracts for staff and monitor their performance against agreed standards and objectives, working with them to grow their skills were needed
- Scan and analyse the environment to identify and implement continuous service improvements
- Identify and assess the hardware, software and people costs for the next financial year
- Assist with the management of resource and budget constraints, taking a Cost Value Risk approach

- Ensure reporting and batch processing is executed successfully
- Plan DR (Disaster Recovery) and co [1] ordinate testing of DR
- Ensure DR documentation is in place
- Monitor IT systems
- Ensure architecture alignment
- Ensure all decisions are based on the
- RMB and BT strategy
- Produce management and stakeholder reports in line with agreed schedules and on request
- Demonstrate pride in RMB's brand and values
- Handle stress in ways that do not negatively impact others
