IT Applications Platform Support Specialist

**Overview**:
Our client is a leading investment management business, with local and international operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collating and documenting requirements on new portfolios/clients added
- Impact assessment of new additions
- Provide development requirements to developer on system enhancements and scheduler changes
- Data mapping and XML editing
- Monitoring of monthly fee data import and export process
- Checking the invoicing and bank payments done on the system
- System administration and configuration
- Logging of requests with vendor and vendor management on their tasks
- Data queries and data checks on source systems
- Handling production critical systems
- Working under production critical SLAs
- Change management on enhancements and updates to the system
- Understanding of deployment topologies and system communications
- Server performance monitoring
- Troubleshoots/triaging production issues affecting Application platforms as needed, taking appropriate corrective actions
- Conducts preventative maintenance to ensure capacity, scaling, security and availability of Application platforms

**Requirements**:

- IT or Business degree (National Diploma/B.Com/B.Tech Information Systems) and/or Business Analysis diploma
- Minimum of 3 years Business or System Support experience within a Financial Institution (Asset Management company preferable)
- SQL database experience
- Revenue and management fee system experience would be beneficial
- Sound knowledge of financial markets and instruments
- Test analyst capabilities is advantageous
