**Educational Requirements**
- National Diploma and / or Degree in Marketing Management, Brand Management, Public Relations, Communication / Equivalent

**Skills/Experience Requirements**
- Minimum of 3 years Brand Specialist, PR, Marketing experience preferably within a media or entertainment driven environment.
- Working knowledge of Illustrator, InDesign, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Excellent writing skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking skills
- Planning and project management skills
- Code 08 Drivers License
- Travel expected.
- Weekend work expected

**Knowledge Requirements**
- Knowledge of Networking - internally and externally
- Media relations management
- Knowledge of the media industry/market
- An understanding of the South African media landscape
- Knowledge and experience of key Brand and PR drivers
- A general understanding of broadcasting and the media.

**Brand Marketing**:

- Assist in implementing the company’s media brand strategy and ensure maximum brand coverage and overall enhancement of the station’s reputation Digitally, on the ground and on-air.
- Work closely with the stations Digital Lead to ensure the Digital Marketing strategy is executed correctly and identifying opportunity to grown the online audience
- Responsible to generate brand activities to promote streaming, listening to the station and make people fall in love with the brand.
- Responsible for conceptualizing brand campaigns, events and activations with the Events team.
- Project manage any brand and PR related projects for the station by drafting project plans, project leading the campaign with a team and implement the campaign.
- Responsible for managing the Brand budget
- Assist with the brand evolution of the company with the Marketing Manager
- Assist with the development of a branding/merchandising plan to maximize coverage at all events, activations and key media partnerships.
- Ensure that the brand message is consistent with the brand positioning both for listeners and for trade partners
- Manage all internal design briefs for the station and brief the designer on creative direction and manage the design process
- Manage the output of all creative for internal and external stakeholders
- Brief the advertising agency with regards to strategic and creative brand marketing execution and key visuals of station events and promotions.
- Responsible for writing, briefing and sending Mediamark/Sales and staff any updated Branding messages
- this includes presentations, updated Presenter and Show profiles, Media Kit, Sales presentation, internal messages, Messages that display on the reception screens, birthday messages, holiday messages etc.
