**Key Purpose**
- The
- **Learning and Development Programme Manager** manages the design, delivery and measurement of learning programmes across Discovery People Group function, ensuring that the needs analysis is conducted and learning requirements are understood. Includes the design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of solutions.- Mapping and working closely with key stakeholders to ensure successful design and delivery of learning programmes. Understanding of adult learning principles, learning content design and learning content curation. Has the accountability to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved within the overall opportunity and that deliverables are within the agreed time frame, cost and as per defined and expected quality. Acts as an evangelist of the discipline.- The learning and development programme manager must have practical experience of having been in a learning and development role as a manager in a corporation. Responsible for gathering learning needs, design of learning solution, planning and governance and for overseeing a successful delivery of the solution.- Key Outcomes may include but are not limited to:
- Working closely with the Senior Learning and Development Manager to gather learning needs across businesses through partnering with Heads of People and Learning Teams.
- Being able to independently design learning solutions utilising various learning methodologies that fit the needs of business.
- Managing the learning programme/ solution delivery
- Managing learning partners internally and externally to deliver the Learning Programmes
- Overseeing management and reporting on various online learning solutions.
- Curation of learning content including online learning
- Responding to business learning requests
- Designing learning solutions with end user in mind
- Designing and packaging online learning courses using platforms like Articulate, Adobe etc.
- Managing delivery of strategic projects and learning programmes for Discovery employees, ensuring that the objectives and business requirements are met.
- Working with internal and external partners and other business units.
- Working closely with Branding and Marketing to ensure compliance with branding guidelines.
- Effectively communicate with various stakeholders including immediate team.
- Identifying value adding opportunities through various engagements with business.
- Delivery of learning programme across business and partners with the Skills Development Team to continuously measure for impact and ROI.
- Ensure a clear understanding of the scope of work before planning delivery.
- Managing and coordinating the kick-off meeting where all main stakeholders are identified and provide input to the design, scope, objectives, and approach.
- Brainstorimng solutions and to come up with an effective plan to meet the requirements of the stakeholders.
- Developing a design and delivery plan structure, identifying outputs, understanding dependencies, and putting timelines to the various activities.
- Working with the learning and development coordination team, manage their delivery and to ensure that their delivery is of the expected quality and completed within the timelines allocated.
