**About the job**

This position entails performing BBBEE verifications for companies in accordance with the DTI’s BBBEE Codes of Good Practice and the company's verification methodology.

The role requires a high level of attention to detail, analytical ability.

The role is required to understand the client's business and able to gain an in depth understanding of the business requirements, document, validate and translate into value-add solutions.

The role is responsible for conducting BEE Verifications for clients in accordance with documented procedures. Act in the necessary capacity as defined by SANAS.

This position reports to the **Managing Partner.**

This position is based in **Sandton**.

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Matric (Grade 12);
- BComm in Accounting/ Law/ HR/ Finance/Risk and Compliance compulsory;
- B-BBEE Management Development Programme (MDP) Qualification advantageous;
- BComm Honours in Accounting/ Law/ HR/ Finance/Risk advantageous;
- 5 - 8 years in a similar role on a management level;
- Experience in transformation process and BBBEE Analysis’
- Experience within a **BBBEE Rating Agency;**:

- Verification analysis and management process;
- Technical Signatory Experience will be advantageous;
- Must have a high level of technical knowledge and experience on BEE Codes and BBBEE Accreditation, Charters and Sector Codes;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Driver’s License and Own Reliable Transport.

**Responsibilities**

The employee will be required to fulfil the following but not limited to:

- Management of a team to ensure quality, deliverables and operations;
- Reviewing of verification files;
- Training and mentorship of technical aspects and new legislation;
- Conducting occasional marketing meetings and/or verification audit for large, complex clients;
- Management of compliance requirement;
- Weekly reporting to Director;
- Upholding SANAS verification requirements;
- Manage full BBBEE verification Function of the Company;
- Having an in-depth knowledge of the amended BBBEE codes of Good practice, the BBBEE Act and other related legislation;
- Engage with clients on the process to be followed when conducting evaluations;
- Quality Assurance;
- Examine and evaluate target enterprises to determine their BBBEE status, review company policies and compliance with BBBEE Acts and /or charters in South Africa;
- Liaise with staff of the target enterprises to ensure all required information for accreditation is accessible;
- Schedule and conduct site evaluations with shareholder and/or directors and the relevant senior managers of the target enterprises;
- Conclude on the BBBEE status of the target enterprise;
- Assist and analyse verifications;
- Manage and co-ordinate systems, procedures and policies;
- Keep abreast of trends, legislation and best practices within the transformation field in order to optimise service offering and delivery;
- Develop, promote and oversee the implementation of the transformation strategy that enables the strategic objectives;
- Establish and lead appropriate governance structures to ensure compliance with the B-BBEE Act and related regulations with a view to ensuring compliance with governance, compliance and risk management frameworks;
- Develop and implement strategies to address gaps in current practices impacting the B-BBEE Scorecard;
- Promote and drive transformation as a strategic business imperative through a clear B-BBEE programme with measurable milestones;
- Based on strategy, create transformation targets for Employment Equity and Preferential Procurement in collaboration with business;
- Drive the implementation of strategic initiatives aimed at improving BBBEE scoring in collaboration with stakeholders;
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of performance against set targets to enable the achievement of targets;
- Oversee the completion of the B-BBEE verification process and enable the collation of valid, accurate and complete data or evidence during the B-BBEE verification process;
- Lead the enablement of a diverse and inclusive culture throughout the team;
- Provide authoritative, expertise and advice to clients and stakeholders;
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders, such as the BEE Commission, Department of Labour, etc;
- Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility
- Encourage innovation, change agility and collaboration within the team;
- Support building of the team's capability in order to ensure that the team is equipped to strategically partner with business and provide leading solutions;
- Implement and provide feedback on the effectiveness of financial policy, practice and procedures preventing illegal, unethical or improper conduct;
