Compliance Admin Clerk

- Reviewing new client matter details against standard checklists and escalate high risk client details to the Compliance Manager/Compliance Partners as required;
- Checking client ID (individual and corporate) documents and highlighting any discrepancies in accordance with regulatory requirements;
- Completing online searches, as appropriate, upon request of Compliance Manager/Compliance Partners;
- Identifying and liaising with fee earners across the firm about any gaps or discrepancies in information or documentation provided;
- Maintaining clear records of all actions and outcomes in relation to compliance enquiries, chasing any missing data on a regular basis;
- To provide general administrative support to the Compliance Manager/team.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Excellent attention to detail
- Matric with a relevant qualification
- Two to three years experience as a Compliance Administrative Assistant
- Ability to maintain focus and interest with repetitive work
- Excellent IT skills, allowing data manipulation and reporting - Excel is an essential requirement
- Able/comfortable working with systems and processes
- Naturally inquisitive and curious - someone who doesn't take information at face value
- Confident and articulate
- Organised
- Previous experience of working in a process driven environment
- Good academic history
- An interest in (regulatory) compliance matters
- Previous work history that includes office or general organisational experience
