- The Protection Service Officer role will ensure that Protection Services team perform their duties and that employees and assets are protected. Investigation support and emergency protection duties will be part of the activities of this role. This is a shift supervisory role and you will be responsible for supervising and developing a team of Senior Patrolpersons at Anglo American Platinum Operation.

**Job Description**:

- As Protection Service Officer you will supervise protection services team per shift to protect employees and assets on site to establish a safe work environment. Below are some of the key responsibilities critical to the role.

**Key responsibilities of this role are**:

- Investigate crime and the transgression of standards and procedures
- Patrol and inspect all company property within delegated area of responsibility
- Ensure that safety and legal standards are adhered to in performing protection duties
- Assists in security screening of employees and recruits
- Assist during emergencies and injuries to employees
- Conducts inventory and stock checks at different security points
- Compile accurate security reports including incident and investigation reports
- Maintain applicable Safety, Regulations, Legislation, Codes of practice and standards appropriate to systems
- Support the protection of assets in high-risk situations such as during Industrial action and emergencies

**This role is in the Protection Services Department at a C4 level reporting to Protection Services Superintendent.**

**Qualifications
- You will need the following**:

- Grade 12/ Matric
- Registered with the PSIRA grade B
- PSIRA Armed responses course
- Valid driver’s licence code B
- Company Drivers licence will be advantageous
- Armoured Vehicle driving course will be advantageous
- Tactical firearms qualification will be advantageous

**Experience**
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Security or equivalent environment
- 2 years’ experience in supervisory position

**Additional Requirements**:

- Perform standby duties when required
- Communications skills
- Handling of various emergency situations
- No criminal record
- Pass polygraph test
- Computer literacy
- Valid driving license code 08
