Drakon Forge is a smithy that makes swords, axes and awesome things out of steel, wood, and leather. We also present courses on a range of skills, including blacksmithing, bladesmithing, woodwork, and leatherwork. **Responsibilities and Duties**
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to keep our smithy and office running smoothly and efficiently. This is a great opportunity to assist us with diverse projects and provide general administrative support.
This position would include these tasks:
- Order shipping, pack, and label orders received through the online shop.
- Buy and pick up items needed to fulfill and complete orders around Gauteng.
- Contact and order products from our suppliers.
- Lease with event coordinators regarding participation at events.
- General administration around smithy and office.
- Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings
This position reports directly to the Managing Director.
**Qualifications and Skills**
Must have
- Proficiency in MS Office and similar software
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- High School degree or above
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of online platforms like Google Workspace, Shopify
- Additional qualification as an Administrative assistant
- Interest in blacksmithing and related fields
- Geek cred
**Salary and Benefits**
Depending on experience and time commitment, R6000 to R12 000 per month.
