Workshop General Manager

- Oversee daily operations
- Making sure components are repaired and built to the highest standard. ensure quality is checked
- Documentation from part design to fabrication and final assembly
- You will deal with raw material, component manufacturing and outsourcing, equipment's, people resources and administrative processes such as stock ordering and management
- Managing the Machine Shop ensuring planning, machine setup, precise measurements and safety is upheld
- Cost and Expenses management
- Manage Process Efficiencies
- Analyse and adjust work schedules and other personnel matters
- Solve production problems & handle quality issues
- Manage customer interactions
- Employee training and skill development and handle disciplinary issues
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Tertiary engineering qualification (Mechanical preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with customers, suppliers and employees across all levels, including sales and marketing, engineering, maintenance and human resources.
- A thorough understanding of machining processes, equipment technology, shop procedures and how to read drawings.
- Knowledge safety and health regulations with regard to safe use of machine tools is also necessary.
- SA Drivers License
