**We are recruiting now a motivated Equipment Sales Representative who is passionate about penetrating new markets and developing relationships with new and existing customers.** As our Equipment Sales Representative you will drive sales of our products and services and contribute to the growth of our business in the area. In this role, you will be responsible for meeting assigned sales targets for repairs, retrofits, hoists and other light lifting equipment, spare parts, in-house repairs, general overhauls and consultation services for dedicated areas or responsibility.
**Your key responsibilities**:
- Support development of business plans and sales strategy for designated market
- Implement sales plans, targets and budgets
- Engage in various sales activities to sell service contracts including inspection, maintenance, on-call service, modernizations, lifting equipment etc.
- Prepare and coordinate action plans for effective search of sales leads and prospects
- Initiate and develop action plans to penetrate new markets
- Maintain accurate records of all pricings, sales, and activity reports
- Manage customer relationships
- Provide support to sales engineers
- Performance related reporting and feedback
- Execute other duties in line with the applicable delegation of authority
- To be fully aware of and comply with current responsibilities and requirements of the relevant OHS Acts.
As a company, we are committed to safety and you will also have a responsibility for complying with respective regulations and Health and Safety policies and internal procedures to maintain a safe workplace. You will participate in programs and assessments to improve health and safety in the workplace. When needed, you will report hazards, incidents and injuries in accordance with legislation and company reporting procedures.
This is full time permanent position and you will report to Sales Manager.

**What should you bring?**
For this role we are looking for a team player who has strong social skills, commercial acumen as well as background from sales management and business development process.
**We also expect you to have**:
- National Higher Diploma (NQF level 6) in sales or electrical / mechanical engineering
- 5+ years work experience in industry-related equipment sales, services sales or relevant
- Experience with CRM or similar customer relations management systems / tools
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in confined spaces, elevated areas and at heights
- Knowledge of crane industry business is highly beneficial
This role requires business travel for operational requirements both locally and outside South Africa.
