**Job Description**:

- This role is responsible for the communication service, aligned with organization strategies and objectives, and to facilitate two-way communication between the company and its local stakeholder at an Operational site.

**Key responsibilities of this role are**:

- Provide advice and implement of best practice systems and align local systems to the corporate strategy
- Support decisions on appropriate course of action in relation to communication
- Assist various units communicate their objectives
- Identify risk areas and communicate to management and develop relevant campaigns to deal with issues (e.g. safety, production, etc.)
- Compile mine publications and assist with communication campaigns
- Ensure corporate identity compliance and provide public relations services to the operation
- Organise mine and special events visits in liaison with public relations office
- In conjunction with the operation and Corporate Communications department, plans and implements research to validate effectiveness of communication strategies by planning
- Execute the delivery of the sustainability activities as relevant to discipline and set out in the Life of Asset Plan to improve sustainability performance over time
- Implement environmental and social risk mitigation techniques as specified in the asset risk management approach as relevant to discipline
- Implement sustainability initiatives relevant for work area and report on progress
- Adhere to Anglo American compliance requirements and ensure compliance of team

**This role is at a C5 level reporting to Communications Manager Operations.**

**Qualifications
- You will need the following**:

- Degree / Diploma in Communications, Journalism

**Experience**
- At least 3 years’ experience in the communications field
- Mining industry experience would be advantageous

**Knowledge And Skills**
- Advanced level of communication skills
- Advanced level of writing skills
- Proficient in stakeholder management
- Valid driving license
- If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
