Drink Innovation and Sales Representative

**Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:
- Meeting sales targets.
- Make weekly in person sales calls to an assigned route and develop customer relationships.
- Beverage innovation as well as preparation/demonstrations is key
- Identify new and existing opportunities in each account and complete required surveys.
- Prepare and execute professional data driven sales presentations/tastings to customers using the brand specific sales data.
- Demonstrate the ability to meet and exceed assigned monthly business targets
- Ensure maximum brand visibility within assigned accounts through shelf set placements in retail, and various other merchandising opportunities.
- Sell in and execute authorized promotions.
- Monitor and track inventory of products within each account to ensure sufficient amounts of product on hand and reduce any out-of-stock items.
- Look for new opportunities on a daily basis to improve distribution, sales and service
- Strive to dominate the competition with all forms of available point-of-sale
- Maintain accurate records and process all orders, reports and forms as required
- Identify and solicit all lost, inactive or potential new accounts in the assigned route territory
- Ask questions to understand customer requirements and close sales.
- Enter and update customer information in the database.
- Take and process orders in an accurate manner..
- Keeping up to date on all products and informing customers of new products.
**Requirements and skills**
- Matric qualification
- Must be a result oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently or with a team and motivate others
- Proven experience as a sales representative or in a customer service role.
- Must pay attention to detail, strong analytical skills and deadline driven.
- This job standard is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee assigned to this position will be expected to perform other reasonably related business duties as requested by the immediate manager as required.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft office
- Outstanding negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints
**General KPI’s**
- Monthly target needs to be reached
- Priorities products relevant to the Independents channel to be the main focus
- Store visits minimum of 12 a day. Mitigation for tastings and trainings
- Canvassing and cold calls execution is essential
- Call cycle planning and adherence
- Product knowledge - knowing how to make the Classic cocktails and essential beverages
