**What you’ll do**

The purpose of the Finance team is to drive performance through gathering, interpreting and communication of data. You will be a guardian of corporate assets and be responsible for securing the appropriate governance, compliance, and controls. Securing the highest integrity of accounting, reporting and controlling is an essential foundation within the scope of the finance team.

You will be part of our business control team and you will have two own key areas of responsibility:
Firstly, the provision of profitability analysis, reporting and controlling, including analysis of residual values and the related risk carried by VCSA as well as variance analysis and ad-hoc costings and business cases.

Secondly, you will be the overall responsible for proactively seeking cost savings, optimize value and managing various stakeholders within the company’s operating expenses (Opex). Other stakeholders will also be involved in the Opex controlling and this area is a collaboration between several roles, but it will be your area of accountability when it comes to the Opex processes we use, how we communicate, steer & control cost - as well as have the holistic picture and consolidation for all Opex.

Both key areas of responsibility have a broad range of responsibility, from very detailed hands on work in Excel, to presentations and conceptual thinking. The work will include operational, ad-hoc and periodic activities with several reporting tasks in connection to month-end, business planning forecast and costing - which will require hands on quantitative work where you need to be deeply engaged with every detail.

A major part of the role will also be about the holistic picture. You will be business partnering and driving process improvement within your areas and continuously evolving how we best control and steer for better business performance. You will have to challenge your business counterparts, come with ideas and act as a proactive adviser to operations.

**Key Tasks**:

- Understanding of complete financial performance and development of IFRS requirements
- Perform detailed analysis of the NCS’s STD market earnings including for example revenue, discounts, ASP and associated KPIs vs target and YoY and being able to explain all variances in detail
- Manage continuous outlooks on a monthly basis, focus on new volume assumptions, actual performance and major changes in business
- Prepare management reports and functional leads reporting with respect to actuals, outlooks and ad hoc analysis.
- Perform budget planning and forecasting procedures when required and communicate to parties concerned.
- Work together with Group Finance and Global Finance Operations in developing, implementing and improving Volvo Cars policies, processes and procedures. This implies for example to ensure that master data is updated according to accounting manuals and controls. PORTAL AD GUIDELINES & TEMPLATES 3
