Finance Controller Midrand- Gauteng Job Title: Finance Controller or Finance

Direct Reports: 4 We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller for our client to join their dynamic team.

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, internal controls, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

To drive and lead the finance function in the region on behalf of the company reporting directly to the Finance Director.

To manage all financial activity within the business unit, including the production of management and financial reports Key Activities1.Contribute to the Strategic Management of the Region2.Financial Management and control of the region3.Ensure Compliance to both internal policies and legislation.4.Manages the human resources necessary for the financial function of the region.5.Promote General functions.

Education

  • Must be educated to Degree standard or equivalent in a business or finance related course. Technical/ Computer KnowledgeoPC literate (Fully proficient with XP, MS office, particularly Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Outlook)oAccounting Systems experience such as SAGE Evolution is essential. Experience oQualified Accountant with substantive management experience within a leadership teamoIn-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practicesoIFRS familiarity an advantageoMust have had experience working for an international organisation with monthly and annual financial reporting to a head office location outside country/region ideally the UK.oMust have significant experience leading a finance function regionally. oProven ability to drive and manage process and change both directly and through your team.oExcellent written and spoken English with a "can do" attitude. oMust be able to partner individuals within South Africa and across the globe effectively via face-to-face, email and video call. oMust have previous experience of manage finance activity across numerous legal entities.
