**Quality & Responsibilities.**

The company wishes to appoint Quality Inspectors within the Quality Department.

The successful incumbent must have the ability to work accurately and independently and have a good attendance and timekeeping record. The position could involve shift work.
:

- Attend pre-production meeting daily before shift. Report any problems encountered from previous shift
- Ensure that all quality functions are conducted in line with relevant requirements of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949, customer and internal specifications.
- Patrol inspection in Cutting, Forge and Machine Shop
- Ensure ALL products are correctly identified (Labeled) at all times
- Oversee MPI and assist with setting up
- Conduct First-off and Last-off inspection in a timely manner
- In-process inspections. Segregate and clearly identify any non-conformances and report to Quality Manager
- Conduct all inspections to customer and internal drawing specifications and as per internal and customer required frequencies
- Conduct final inspection per the sampling plan, according to drawing and job specific requirements or specifications. Zero PPM rejects at customer.
- Record all inspection details to DIMS or Job card
- Ensure that all gauges are calibrated, verified on a daily basis and that the correct gauges are used
- Submission of accurate scrap reports to the Quality Manager on a daily basis
- Assist with fault finding and problem solving as per Corrective, Preventative, Improvement and Change Action document, to ensure minimum downtime on production lines
- Conduct daily scrap review and raise Action for repetitive issues and form part of problem solving team to reduce scrap

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.**
- Ensuring that all SHEQ policies, procedures and standards are up to date and in line with legal requirements and industry standards
- Conducting regular site inspections and audits to assess compliance with all SHEQ requirements
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures where necessary
- Developing training and awareness programs for employees on SHEQ policies and procedures
- Setting up and monitoring the Company’s safety, health, environmental and quality management systems
- Ensuring that the Company is ISO 9001 compliant
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing control measures
- Maintaining of SHEQ system according to ISO standards (9001; & 45001)
- Oversee risk assessments
- Oversee incident investigations
- Internal SHEQ auditing as required by ISO standards (9001; 45001)
- In-house training of personnel on ISO standards and their roles and responsibilities
- Ensure all supplier audits are done timeously
- Preparation of external audits including customers
- Deal with any quality, safety and hygiene related non-conformances or corrective action reports

**DESIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION**
- Diploma in Quality Management (NQF 6 level)
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in SHEQ management from within a manufacturing sector
- Applicants should have a strong technical background
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and requirements
- ISO 9001 auditor (advantageous)
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
