**Introduction**

This position will be based at the Bokoni Platinum Mine in Atok, Limpopo Province.

**Description**

The Issuing & Receiving Clerk is responsible for managing the flow of materials, supplies, and equipment in and out of the mine. This includes receiving, inspecting, storing, and distributing goods, as well as maintaining accurate records of inventory levels.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Comply with all relevant Minopex Management Systems and procedures in respect to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety.
- Implement and adhere to procurement policy, procedures, and standards.
- ** Receiving and Inspection**:

- Receive deliveries of materials, supplies, and equipment and verify the accuracy of the received items against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and condition, reporting any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate departments.
- Update inventory records to reflect the received items accurately.
- ** Inventory Management**:

- Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems or manual logs.
- Organize and store materials, supplies, and equipment in designated storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels regularly and initiate purchase requisitions to replenish stock as needed.
- Conduct regular stock counts and participate in periodic stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Ensure correct allocation, storage and stacking of stock items according to product requirements and sound storing practices e.g. storage of hazardous materials and the display of Materials Safety Data Sheet.
- Correct binning and storing of items according to the stock system.
- ** Issuing and Distribution**:

- Process requests for materials, supplies, and equipment from various departments within the mine.
- Retrieve requested items from inventory and prepare them for distribution.
- Coordinate the delivery of requested items to the appropriate departments or individuals.
- Update inventory records to reflect the issued items accurately.
- ** Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation of all transactions, including receipts, delivery notes, and distribution records.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics as required.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate and timely information on inventory status.
- ** Health and Safety**:

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines while handling materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns related to storage, handling, or transportation.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Grade 12

**Experience & Skills Requirements**:

- Previous experience as an Issuing & Receiving Clerk or similar role.
- Proficient in computerized inventory management systems.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Forklift / Telehandler license is required.
- Valid driver’s license code B, EB or C1
