You will be working as Warehouse & Logistics Manager and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Buildings Division based in Modderfontein, South Africa. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Operations Manager and will be responsible for of warehouse operations, trade compliance and transportation. Ensuring warehouse and forwarders service level and productivity, in compliance with regulations, company’s guidelines and procedures.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Budget Proposes and manages the annual warehouse and transportation budget. Operates within approved budget. Optimizes resources and determines actions to address cost issues. In case of third-party logistics (3PL) set-up, monitors warehousing costs and implement costs productivity initiatives.
- Improvements Continuously improves operations, optimizes warehouse utilization and transportation process. Manage the forwarder selection process. In case of 3PL set-up, collaborates with the logistics provider in order to promote and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Performance: Reviews and manages warehouse and forwarders KPIs and follow-up with process improvement plans. Validates KPIs issued by Forwarders and 3PL along with the cost associated to their service.
- Warehouse operations Plans and monitors the storage, delivery and dispatch of orders and keeps stock control systems up to date. Oversees stock control and processes orders. In case of 3PL set-up, he /she is responsible of the 3PL management and service. Manages the 3PL daily performance and cost, acting to ensure respect of associated KPIs and service level agreements.
- Ensures compliance to company procedures and policies within the warehouse operations and 3PL services, setting up relevant control mechanisms and documents (e.g. stock control / count).
- Transportation: Responsible for forwarders management and service. Manages forwarder daily performance and cost, acting to ensure respect of associated KPIs and service level agreements.
- Ensures compliance of shipping with all local and global regulations, whilst optimizing the distribution network and customs procedures and taking full advantage of possible free trade benefits. Works closely with transport partners on resolving issues and providing direction.
- People Leadership and Development: Develops an effective relations with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. 3PL, forwarders) and motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure that productivity and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) targets are met.
- Health, safety and environment (HSE) Ensures that Group and local health, safety and environmental guidelines and directives are implemented and understood to ensure safety of people and resources.
- Operations Planning and scheduling: Owner of the site supply planning process. Provides visibility of supply capacity and local supply objectives into S&OP process. Provides feedback into S&OP process of site’s ability to support the demand plan
- Inventory Management: Owns the inventory or NWC check book for the local unit.
- Is accountable for inventory within the site, also driving inventory optimization projects within the site.
- Ensures the right inventory level is maintained, optimizing it according to the company’s target while guaranteeing customer service level.
- Establishes and maintains an inventory management processes for finished goods in line with company guidelines. Responsible for the ICBK (Inventory check book) process and related periodical follow-ups / monthly reviews.
- Fulfillment Planning: Runs a short-term planning process or S&OE process, connecting planning with execution. Coordinates an appropriate response to unplanned events. Supports the profitable execution of customer orders, in coordination with business functions and supply units (feeder factories). Leads regular discussions with supply units on inbound issues, planning parameters, reverse logistics, etc

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics or relevant qualification
- Minimum 11 years of experience in warehouse and logistics
- Logistics Management with a strong SAP WMS & MM knowledge
- MBA or similar qualification
- Lean Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt)
- Must be willing to travel
- Excellent communication skills
