An interesting long-term contract opportunity has arisen for Functional Analysts. We are currently looking for a Functional Analyst based in South Africa who is looking for their next opportunity, starting immediately.

**The Role**

You will be working side-by-side with a client MES Functional Lead assisting with the following:

- gathering requirements and design clarifications;
- gathering and validating site data;
- developing functional specifications;
- evaluating and selecting solutions;
- developing standards;
- being involved in vendor selection and implementation;
- reviewing and developing test scripts;
- supplying vendor with data to configure systems;
- other client side tasks as required in the deployment of an MES solution

As an MES Analyst, you will be an expert in one of the following areas:

- Production Quality and Support Systems
- Core Production Systems
- Operations Planning and Scheduling
- Operations Data Management, Reporting and Visualisation

**The Project**

The project's current priority is rolling out an MES solution for the company's site in the U.S. but the scope of work will also include their KwaZulu-Natal site.

**Skills and experience**

You will need a specialist background in working in one of the functional areas mentioned above in large scale enterprises, as you will be involved in the analysis, design, selection and implementation of solutions specific to this functional domain. Ideally you can show:

- Extensive experience working in the resource, energy or heavy industry sectors.
- Demonstrable experience performing MES projects
- Previous experience on global programs with MES design & implementation
- Excellent documentation skills (preferably with examples of quality documentation)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse work environment
- Excellent people skills
