Language Specialist

**Position Duties & Responsibilities**
- Utilise industry best practices and familiarity with the organization's mission to inspire ideas and content.
- Organising and compiling learning material such as, but not limited to, Learner Guides according to the correct templates, arranging paperwork and other administrative tasks.
- Organise writing schedules to complete drafts of content or finished projects within deadlines
- Writing and editing scripts to produce workable material to the creative team to develop visual content.
- Re-writing, editing and reviewing of learning materials, learner guides and other documents.
- Organising project flows for the team by following an editorial calendar, collaborating with other members of the content production team to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintaining management sheets and workflows.

**Application Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree in Communication, Language, Journalism, or related field on a minimum of a NQF5 level.
- Two years’ experience in content writing, copy editing, proof reading, ideally in a learning environment.
- Incredible eye for attention to detail.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Teams)
- Impeccable grasp of the English language, including idioms and current trends in slang and expressions
- Above average ability to understand, use and learn new technology.

**Salary**: R120 000,00 - R144 000,00 per year

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Content writing and copy editing: 2 years (preferred)
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
