**Job Summary**
**The Storekeeper is responsible to receive and control the goods, to distribute goods according to their store requisition, responsible to watch par stocks, proper control and record keeping of all documents, to stack in the racks neatly, to clean the stores and responsible for other allied job functions. To receive all goods of the hotel ensuring that all deliveries correspond to the purchase order and specifications with regard to quality, quantity, price, etc.**

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensures all merchandise are stored under optimal conditions and are ready for issuing
- Ensures all merchandise is stored on shelving and not directly on store room floors
- Ensures that all storage areas are clean and maintains high hygienic standards
- Ensures that storeroom temperatures including the freezer and the refrigerator are in the line with Hotel and Food Safety Standards
- Verifying the temperature of the WH100 and complete the temperature control sheet.
- Maintain Health, Hygiene and Security Standards throughout the store facilities
- Verifies quantities of arriving materials destined for storeroom
- Ensure that all incoming merchandise is undamaged, in quantities as indicated in the accompanying invoice/delivery docket and meets the quality standards
- Ensures that all incoming merchandise is as indicated on the approved purchase order
- Ensures that all issues from stores are made against properly completed, approved picking lists and signs the picking lists on completion of stock being issued
- Ensures that all picking lists are signed by the respective department collecting stock requested
- Ensures that all picking lists have been generated by the inventory system each day at 09:00 and at 15:00
- Ensures that all stock items are issued to respective departments in accordance with the store issue days and times
- Picking List batches to be handed to Manager each Monday
- Verifies the list of items at re-order point against physical quantities before submitting the list to the Procurement Manager
- Interacts and cooperates with all sub section in the storeroom, merchandise receiver, merchandise deliverer, receiving clerk and Purchasing Officer
- Ensures that merchandises are issued by FIFO system, rotate stock to minimize wastage
- Makes oneself available during physical inventories taken by the Finance Department
- Ensure all picking list and after hour emergency transfers are processed before cycle counts are opened
- Physical inventory variances to be verified by Cost Controller and Storeman on day of cycle counts
- Safeguard the hotel’s food and beverage inventories by receiving and storing items adequately and protecting them from pilferage and spoilage
- Maintain established maximum/minimum stock levels of all items under stores responsibility
- Inform Cost Controller of all instances of breakage, deteriorated or obsolete stock
- Inform Inventory and Procurement Manager of stock expiring before stock has expired in order to find solutions without writing stock off
- Performs other duties as required

**Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements**:

- 2 years’ experience in store operation in 5 star hotels
- Interpersonal, organizational and strong administrative skills
- Strong communication skills, knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Excel is desirable
- Good business acumen and Computer literate
