**Qualifications**
- Grade 12
- National Diploma in General Health Nursing and a certificate in Occupational Health Nursing or a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Audiometry and Spirometry Certificate
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation such as COIDA, OHSA, Nursing Act, LRA, EEA, POPIA, BCEA & MHSA
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council

**Experience**
- 5 - 8 years’ experience in Occupational Health Nursing
- 3 years’ data analysis and report compilation
- 3 years’ experience in conducting medicals
- Manage the COID online reporting system

**Duties**
- Promoting positive lifestyle which promotes health
- Promoting mental health through counselling and other supportive programmes
- Tracking and managing sickness and absenteeism
- Providing support to OHP conducting health surveillance
- Developing and//or improving company policies and procedures that promote health and safety
- Providing guidance and training to workforce and management to promote health and safety in the workplace
- Coordinating and conducting medicals (annual & bi-annual) for all employees working across BME
- Management of IOD’s and COIDA
- Tracking and management of occupational health cases
- Providing guidance and support on disability cases
- Keeping abreast of changes in legislation to ensure compliance
