- BSc in Engineering or Science
- Post graduate Explosives Engineering certificate

**Experience**
- Proven track record in a blasting technology environment
- Innovative technical report writing experience.

Duties*
- To manage and guide the development and testing of blasting optimisation technology in order to provide the highest quality blasting products and services available.
- To allocate requested service to appropriate blast optimisation team.
- To analyse customer requirements, recommend solutions to satisfy needs economically, and resolve related problems and manage decisions according.
- To manage and assist with blasting risk assessments, blast optimisation designs, blast performance results and specialist blast designs for critical blasts.
- To ensures that all the requirements of the Mine Health and Safety Act, OHS Act, and statutory requirements within the department/remit thus ensuring effective management of SHERQ and adherence to stipulated disciplines for continuous improvement of occupational Safety, Health, Environment, Risk and Quality that impact on any organisation.
