Busy panel shop, looking to recruit a qualified vehicle spray painter and colour matcher.

Key responsibilities:

- Ensure loose panels / repaired vehicles are allocated in spray paint booth
- Ensure correct flow of paint is applied to designated areas
- Ensure no overspray occurs
- Ensure no paint runs occurs
- Ensure factory finish quality standard is achieved

**Calculation of paint required for repair**
- Identify correct amount of paint required for repair as per job card
- Ensure effective wastage management of paint (i.e. following correct waste distribution procedure etc.) is followed
- Ensure optimal paint levels at all times

**Mixing of paint**
- Identify correct paint mix for loose panels
- Ensure paint mix is accurately matched to othe vehicle panels / rest of repaired vehicle to original colour as per manufacturer specification
- Ensure necessary safety procedures (i.e. safety protected clothing, restricted area etc.) are adhered to when mixing paint

**Prepare loose panels for spray painting**
- Receive loose panels and repaired vehicles for spray painting from panel beater
- Ensure surface is ready for spray painting as per manufacturer specification
- If surface is not ready for spray painting, ensure additional surface flattening is done
