MAIN JOB PURPOSE
The HR Officer is an HR professional responsible for providing support to employees and managers in the various human resources functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training and development, performance monitoring and general admin and coordination reporting across aspects of HR as required, as well as conduct employee counseling, employee benefits and industrial relations.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Diploma/ Degree in HR Management / Social Sciences
- Intermediate understanding of Employment Equity Act, Skills Development Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and all other applicable legislation
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Driver’s License with own/reliable transport will be advantageous
- Proven experience as HR Administrator
- Knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development etc.)
- Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
- Experience coordinating special HR initiatives/projects
- Knowledge of HRMS will be advantageous
