**The Purpose of the role.**

As a planner in the fibre optics industry, you will design and plan the installation of fibre optic cables for telecommunications and networking purposes. Ensure the successful implementation of a high-quality fibre network design that meets the needs of the organisation or project. By planning and designing the network infrastructure to optimise the installation process, the fibre planner plays a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of the network over time.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Produce Fibre Network Designs and Layouts as per client requirements.
- Produce construction drawings via the relevant software programs.
- Produce float and splice instructions/plans.
- Drafting of As-builds upon receipt of civil redlines.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Matric
- Diploma in Engineering (Advantageous)
- FTTH Fibre Optic Design Experience (GPON & P2P)
- FOA fibre design certification (Advantageous)
- 3 - 5 years planning experience within the fibre or telecommunications industry

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
