**Description**:
- The purpose of this job is to support the existing management team in delivering successful
- operations, achieving the hotel objectives and improving profitability.
- Key activities:(not limited to):
- Overseeing the delivery of consistent quality customer experiences in all departments in the
evening
- Responsible for high standards of health & safety, hygiene, customer service
- Contributing to initiatives to improve staff skills and guest satisfaction
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(not limited to):
- Greet Arrival and VIP guests of the hotel.
- As directed by Management, perform special project tasks
- Assists with VIP requests at Front Desk and Guest Services
- Monitor service at Restaurants and IRD
- Check cleanliness of foyer and public areas, as well as ensure all staff behave appropriately
and are presentable in uniform
- Conduct building inspections and report any out-of-order equipment
- Conduct turndown service checks
- Monitor Guest requests from housekeeping and assist where required
- Monitor Security duties and assist where necessary
- Assist in managing room lock problems.
- Assist Security when valuables are found in guest occupied rooms
- Monitor Guest Services transfer and shuttle duties
- Address guest complaints and other related problems include solutions in the Duty
Manager’s report
- Assist Reception and Guest Services during busy periods.
- Assist with guest enquires, and attend to the needs of the guests.
- Promote and maintains good Public Relations.
- Motivate and maintains professional staff relations.
- Maintain and guide colleagues in hotel policies.
- Report all matters which require following up the following day.

- Must have experience in a 3/4/5 star establishment
- Experience with Opera (advantageous)
- Matric
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality/Tourism or relevant field (advantageous)
- Well-spoken and well presented
- Excellent telephone manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience in a managerial/supervisory role (advantageous)
