Transport Management Supervisor

**Job Overview**

The Transport Management Supervisor is responsible for cost efficient scheduling of deliveries and routing of trucks, for the transportation of goods on a regional, national & Common Customers Union (CCU) level.

**Duties**:

- Establish proper routing & route optimization
- Manage relations with internal & external warehouses
- Schedule pick-ups of returned stock from suppliers and customers
- Maintain technical and computer skills and capability to effectively use distribution and office software WMS & TMS
- Proactively identify opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to logistics management processes
- Identify areas of improvement between different organization departments namely, distribution, retail and sales.
- Accurately record and manage information related to delivery of stock
- Attend company meetings as required
- Develop and provide accurate monthly reports reflecting and within required project timelines
- Debriefing for post deliveries i.e. pod management, trip sheets etc
- Ensure that all activities within area of responsibility strictly adhere to company policies and procedures
- Manage client communications for support and assistance
- Maintain accurate logistics process documentation(s)
- Effectively manage service provider(s) as per Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Any other duties as determined and assigned by the Logistics manager from time to time

**Reporting & Analysis**
- Submit monthly Service provider(s) performance in line with SLA

**Training and Skills development**
- Relevant training and/or assessment(s) on the job may be provided and/or conducted from time to time

**Qualifications and Experience**

Grade 12

Studying towards a relevant Diploma is preferred
