Our client, a Property Law Firm is seeking to employ a qualified Legal Trust Bookkeeper with experience in Art. 86(2) Trust and 86(4) Investment Accounts at their Johannesburg branch

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Council Refunds - Queries of council refunds, obtaining bank details & refund payments.
- FIC reporting of CASH deposits from R50000 and up
- Print bank statements and send to paralegals before 9am.
- Post Fees, receipts, payments and journals
- Check details on requisitions to bank details provided by clients
- Load payments to bank and Mail with source doc to Authoriser before 3pm.
- Transfer - duty payments from SARS through to bank for payment.
- Keep proper filing system of all documents, bank statements for audit purposes
- Check FICA docs for investments, open and close investment accounts and transfer funds
- Check and issue guarantees, investments and upliftments on banking platform and post in AJS.
- Petty cash management, processing and monthly reconciliation
- Comply with FICA Verification and POPI policies
- Check and reconcile finances of registered matters and load payments
- Reconciliation of Bank accounts allocated to you
- Allocation & research to allocate unidentified deposits
- Debit & CR list for fees & Investments
- Post & recon Credit cards and related accounts
- Stand in for colleagues on leave

**Desired Experience & Qualification**:

- 3 Years experience in legal trust bookkeeping with regards to conveyancing
- Knowledge and experience with AJS
- Knowledge of Lexis Convey will be an advantage

**Salary Package**: R13000 to R20000 per month - depending on experience and knowledge

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R13,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
