**Hospitality and Outdoor - New Vacancy - Front Office Manager**
**Luxury Hotel - Cape Town**
The Front of House Manager is to assume full responsibility for the overall Front of House property operations, which include Reception, Guest Relations, Retail and the Spa.
**Requirements**:
- Must have experience in senior Hospitality Management positions minimum 3 years.
- Ample knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Sound experience and proven track record of having made targets.
- Excellent product and market knowledge, including international trends.
- Great knowledge of product and supply.
- Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport essential.
**Description**:
- To assume full responsibility for the overall Front of House property operations, which include Reception, Guest Relations, Retail and the Spa.
- Meet with the General Manager and Lodge Manager as required and update on property operations.
- To maintain and ensure the good will of the brand at property level.
- To be a key ambassador of the property and its brands including hosting Site Inspections, communicating with the market and hosting journalists.
- To ensure the developed property standards are upheld and maintained.
- To ensure the departmental management personnel of the property is up to the standard, ensuring a streamlined and effective structure in line with hospitality trends.
- To ensure effective departmental meetings take place, accurate minutes are taken and follow ups completed.
- To have weekly one on one meetings with all HODs reporting directly.
- To assist in the event that one of the management or HOD positions is vacant.
- To assist in achieving the best procurement agreements for the property.
- To keep the property innovative in its guest experience and up to date with both competitor offerings and current trends in the hospitality industry.
- To be readily available to deal with all guest queries and complaints. Responding to complaints to be dealt with in a pleasant, constructive manner always, using the feedback as a learning experience and platform for constructive discussion.
- To implement training and facilitate.
- To provide effective leadership through professional man-management and encouragement of all subordinates, including mediation.
- To drive and monitor the effective implementation and execution of the property Performance Management and Succession Planning processes.
- To carry out regular, meaningful performance appraisals conducted in such a manner that effective, open, two-way communication is maintained. To follow up and ensure that the agreed action and developmental plans identified at these appraisals are being affected.
- Assist in establishing and supporting community partnerships ensuring that the property is consistently presented in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.
