**Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Teaching and Learning, other salient roles and responsibilities beyond your**
**innate leadership would include**:

- Accountability over academic, research and administrative management of the Faculty.
- Programme innovation, compliance and financial viability set in terms of internal and national regulatory frameworks (CHE, SAQA, professional bodies, DHET, PQM or similar)
- Enhancing research activities, funding and outputs
- Facilitating community engagements
- Serving on various committees, including Senate
- Governance and compliance with institutional rules, policies and procedures
- Budgeting and financial disbursements, fundraising and sustainability
- Alignment with the University's Strategic Plan - includes networking and management of processes and people and associated administration thereof
- Optimal provision and deployment of talent within the Faculty includes overseeing staffing matters, namely, development, performance appraisals and disciplinary matters
- The provision of timely strategic, operational and other plans
perform ad hoc duties as requested by either the Deputy Vice-Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor.
