The overall purpose of the role
The Fund Secretariat will be responsible for the execution of the incoming Section 14 end to end process for the Sanlam Umbrella Fund. Key Responsibilities Request information from relevant stakeholders in order to commence with the drafting of the Section 14 documentation. Follow up any outstanding information and Section 14 documents. Liaise with stakeholders on any query discrepancies. Draft Section 14 documents. Submit documents to the FSCA. Key Responsibilities (continues) Follow up, liaise with and deal with any queries raised by the FSCA on the approval Section 14’s. Request assets from transferor fund. Follow extension process and submit to the FSCA. Provide proof of payments and transfer schedule to Section 14 imports. Monitor tax issues and submit continuous extensions and follow up with FSCA. Monitor section 14 mailbox Qualification and Experience Matric Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) At least 5 years’ experience in Retirement Fund Administration / Section 14 processes Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of the Retirement Funds Industry Skilled in dealing with Trustees and the FSCA Retirement Fund Administration knowledge Quality and compliance Section 14 Process knowledge Personal Qualities Team player Enthusiastic attitude Well organised Well presented with a professional manner Ability to use initiative Good customer service orientation Excellent administrative skills Ability to work to deadlines and results driven Core Competencies Cultivates Innovation by creating new and better ways for the organisation to be successful.
