A contract cleaning company is looking for an Area Manager.

**Qualifications**

Tertiary Degree or Diploma

Cleaning Certification preferable

3 yrs work experience Cleaning Industry

Excellent management & communication skills

Valid driver's license with no restrictions

At least two years' operational experience

Good communication skills: written and spoken

Good planning and organisation skills

Self
- discipline

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Managing the operational activities of the area under management;
Driving from one property to another to conduct site visits of allocated sites;
Performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities and making recommendations to the Director;
Booking deep cleaning services for properties managed and any other Ad Hoc services;
Maintaining a written record of cleaning materials stocks;
Managing orders, procurement and delivery of cleaning chemicals, products and equipment to sites;
Delivering uniforms and appropriate PPE to workers when required;
Liaising with cleaning supervisors on any issues that might arise and provide solutions;
Developing and maintaining relationships with clients’ contact person;
Daily communication with building manager;
Developing and maintaining systems to ensure client service level agreement is adhered to at all times;
Establishing and monitoring a cleaning plan for each building in accordance with the service level agreements;
Managing performance of cleaners against the agreed targets and budgets, and within policies and procedures;
Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials so as to avoid or minimize waste and/or misuse;
Managing direct expenses and overheads to remain within budget allocations;
Maintaining health and safety requirements on sites;
Managing staff scheduling, including monitoring of time and attendance, leave schedules, overtime in conjunction with HR;
Liaising with HR on relief staff as and when needed;
Preparing monthly reports with regards to cleaners, equipment, supplies and general expenses when due;
Preparing quotations;
Procuring and setting up Hygiene Equipment ;
Attending meetings including sales and operations as and when advised to attend;
Managing start up process of all new contracts (Cleaning and or Hygiene contracts) in liaison with the Director and HR;
Attending scheduled training sessions conducted by Operations Manager and HR Manager for cleaners;
To carry out any other reasonable tasks and/or instructions as directed by management.
