What You Will Accomplish Here...

The Financial Assistant works on a wide variety of Financial related projects.

This position will effectively support the Finance team by focusing on the following:

- Reviews proposals for specialized billing of fixed price projects
- Invoices intercompany, domestic, and/or international clientele
- Audits unbilled aging reports
- Analysis of aged accounts
- Receivable aged accounts
- Performs monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts
- Performs monthly closes
- Payable reports
- Bank reconciliations for local currency and multi-currencies
- Preparation and posting of monthly journals
- Reviews and releases accounts - receivable and accounts
- Payable batches
- Preparation of monthly payment schedules
- Resolves account discrepancies for AR/AP
- Preparation of financial reports
- Assesses and responds to internal and external customer needs
- Accurately issues bills and invoices
- Maintains accurate bookkeeping
- Compilation of management accounts
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Overseeing the yearly financial audit
- Financial project management
- Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information
- Ensures accuracy and timeliness of all work performed
- Handles confidential and non-routine information in a professional manner
- Works independently and within a team on various projects
- Coordinates meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Education, Experience and Skills:

- Matric Certificate essential
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a Bookkeeper/Finance Administrator
- Degree in Finance highly advantageous
- Ability to take initiative in a dynamic environment
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Ability to accurately follow instructions
- Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work independently and with mínimal supervision
- The ability to handle confidential information is required
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Fluent in the English language, verbal and written
- Professionally skilled in Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required
- Must have the ability to effectively present information, communicate with and respond to questions from employees, management, and external parties.
- Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness
- Own transport and valid driver’s license essential
- Available for 40 hours per week

**Physical Requirements and Working Conditions**:

- Must have the ability to work at a computer for extensive periods of time
- Must have the ability to read (both paper and computer screen) for extensive periods of time
- Must have the ability to listen to and speak with internal and external partiers on the telephone for extended periods of time
- Must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other Company equipment
