**Overview**

My Client a large Conference and Function facility in Johannesburg is recruiting for an experienced Event coordinator to organize excellent events. You will be responsible for every aspect of an event, from choosing venues to evaluating success afterwards.

The goal is to organize unforgettable events that will ensure the entertainment of participants and facilitate the completion of business objectives.

**Remuneration Structure**:

- Highly Competitive salary offered
- Medical aid compulsory: Employee: 30% Risk 100% Savings Company: 70% Risk
- Provident fund compulsory Employee: 7,5% Company: 7,5 %

**Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Diploma in Events Management or similar qualification
- Strong customer focus
- Excellent communication, numerical and computing skills (Knowledge of Coral Draw/Pastel and Rendezvous will be an advantage)
- Must be able to interact and negotiate with clients and be able to work under pressure
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Flexible hours with own Transport

**Responsibilities**:

- Co-Ordinator to take over functions from the sales consultant once the contract has been signed
- Co-Ordinating of Events by obtaining information and floor plans as well as written approval from the client
- Compiling of function sheets with all event requirements as well as late arrangements
- Communicating late arrangements to all relevant parties
- Ensure sales reports is updated daily regarding the status of client enquiries
- Co-Ordinators to take an in-day as per roster
- All quotations to be issued to clients within 24 hours of receipt
- Follow up with all bookings timeously and within the release date for the booking
- Responsible for obtaining internal and external suppliers according to clients requirements
- Update any function additions onto the Rendezvous system
- Functions sheets to be compiled, singed off and ready to distribute every Wednesday
- Checking and signing off final invoice sent to the client after the event
- Checking on all signages and menus prior to the event
- Arrange and attend client food tastings and mock setups
- Draw up floor plans and obtain signature from the client
- Conduct site visits with clients
- Attend hand over meetings
- Check all function set-ups
- Disaster Management
- Attend weekly operations meetings
