**_ Position Purpose:_**

Lead the development and implementation of robust sales and commodity strategies for TFR towards the attainment of

business objectives. Build and manage good customer relationships through sound contracting and contract management

and the alignment of TFR service offerings with customer requirements.

**_ Position outputs:_**

1. Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive integrated sales and commodity strategy and programme for

TFR to meet business and shareholder requirements as well as to ensure business growth and the future sustainability of the

organisation.

2. Facilitate development of commodity specific customer focused solutions towards enhancing and sustaining positive

customer experience.

3. Strategic management of customer relationships.

4. Lead and facilitate transformation of the specific sectors through creating strategies that support the enablement of new

entrants and emerging miners.

5. Lead the creation of commodity specific capacity allocation processes and frameworks.

6. Drive capacity creation initiatives in line with customer demands.

7. Lead revenue contract negotiations and contracting processes in line with Transnet’s contracting framework.
8. Implement and manage contract management processes to give effect to contract compliance and revenue collection and

protection.

9. Customer focus transformation through customer experience management.

10. Increase the share of logistics spend with existing customers and identify and increase market share in new market

segments through commercial and freight logistics solutions.

11. Ensure service consistency and proactive customer communication.

12. Maintain strategic customer engagement plans including on-boarding of new customers.

13. Monitor customer preferences to determine the focus of sales efforts.

14. Work closely with other customer-facing departments, such as the corridor customer care team and customer support, to

ensure transactions move through the sales pipeline and seamless day to day management of customer requirements.

15. Facilitate coal demand validation processes and commodity market analysis to provide input into the TFR long term

planning process and strategy development.

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- Bachelors Degree in Business/Finance/ Commerce or appropriate related Commercial field or Bachelors degree in

Commercial Law.
- MBA will be advantageous.
- 10 - 12 years Commercial, Sales, marketing and Customer relationship management experience (3 years of managing key

customer relationships) with at least 5 years at Senior Management level.
- Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19.
- Must undergo Lifestyle Audit.
