Area Sales Manger

**JOB PURPOSE**
The purpose of the Area Sales Manager (ASM) is to ensure the smooth operations of a sales territory through managing the team’s sales performance, networking and building relationships with distribution partners and resellers. Developing sales plans to ensure profitability and revenue targets are met.
**JOB OBJECTIVES AND FUNCTIONS**
**Management of regional sales objectives**
- Responsible for the revenue growth of the region through the development and execution of sales plans for distribution partners or reseller base
- Monitor and track the performance of clients through evaluating sales metric and intervening where required
- Responsible for the effective management of business resources in order to meet sales plans by managing the regional budget and spending accordingly
- Network to improve the presence and reputation of the sales team and the company
- Stay abreast of competing markets and provide reports on market movement and penetration
**Staff management and development**
- Encourage, implement and reinforce the Barron Values, Leadership principles and relevant people strategies and initiatives
**Customer experience**
- Network to improve the presence and reputation of the sales team and the company
- Resolve escalated customer complaints
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
**Qualifications**
- NQF 8 in Business management / Administration / Marketing
**Knowledge**

- Business to Business Sales knowledge
**Experience**
- Sales Manager / Branch manager in the corporate clothing / gifting / FMCG / Retail industry (5 to 8 years')
- Sales team management (3 to 5 years)
