Manages Maintenance Assistants.**Qualification Requirements**:

- Qualified Trade Tested Fitter.- 5 years relevant experience in a production/maintenance environment**Knowledge & Experience**
- Physically fit.- Ability to maintain high standard of housekeeping in the work area- Good communication skills**Competencies**

Planning, organizing and monitoring work, Troubleshooting

**Function**
- Record repair and maintenance machine information
- Reassemble machines after repair or maintenance work
- Observe mechanical operations to determine levels of efficiencies and detect problems
- Supervision of Maintenance Assistants by delegating, monitoring and assisting with maintenance
- Liaise with Mechanical Foreman as to when maintenance can be performed
- Acquiring material and spares before performing planned maintenance
- Ensure maintenance tools are adequately maintained and in good working condition
- Perform maintenance on all production equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule
- Adhere to quality standards for all maintenance performed
- Adhere to OHSACT regulations
- Ensure housekeeping of plant and general areas facilitates a tidy, neat environment - this includes cleaning of maintenance equipment
