**OVERVIEW**:
The core of this role is to expend and share product knowledge and education on our product’s standard operating processes; thus, providing training and conducting random food quality checks will be the focal points of your duties. Building sales prospects and driving sales growth will also form part of your extended duties that will round up your overall key performance areas. This role requires extensive knowledge and expertise in food products, operating specifically in the quick service restaurant industry. This job will require an incumbent with excellent soft skills, such as verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to engage and present the features and benefits of different food items we offer to all stakeholders where required and/or necessary.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**1. Product Knowledge**
- The incumbent must have an extensive understanding of all the product items we offer, from feature benefits to ingredients, and functionality processes (including the SOPs)
- Must constantly stay abreast of competitor’s activities in the innovation aspect and the general market trends on new product developments, new ways of communicating the products, and more.

**2. Customer Education**
- Engage with customers to educate them about the standard operating processes and general product benefits and features across all product baskets and ranges.
- Address customer enquiries and complaints where required and provide them with accurate information in a reasonably timely manner to expend customer experience.
- Conduct product demonstrations and tastings to establish brand reputation, understand customer preferences, and improve the customer experience.

**3. Training & Development**
- Develop training materials, presentations, and resources to support effective learning tools for effective training activities.
- Provide on-going coaching and support to clients to ensure consistent and quality product output.
- Conduct curated training sessions for our clients to enhance their product knowledge and sales technique.

**4. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and other relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, offering personalised product recommendations.

**5. Business Development Management**
- Develop products’ sales targets and strategies across all ranges and segments.
- Implementation of sales-focused initiatives and promotions.
- Identify and peruse new business opportunities to expend customer base and thus drive sales growth.

**6. Market Research**
- Gather and analyse market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities.
- Provide feedback to the product development team (R&D division) to improve existing products or introduce new ones.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Education: Minimum: National Certificate in relevant field (e.g., culinary training certification and/or commerce qualification)
- Experience: Proven experience in food related industries, sales experience, and/or any other related field. Training experience will be beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Product knowledge: Strong understanding of food products, their preparation, and standard operating processes in quick service restaurants.
- Sales Skills: Demonstrate the ability to drive sales and meet targets.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
