RCL Foods is seeking an Innovation Manager to join the Vector Logistics Division. The role will be based in Westville and will report to the IT Executive.

The Innovation Manager will utilise their analytical skills to evaluate Vector’s operations, including internal structure, business processes, and information technology infrastructure, and to develop methods for improvement whilst delivering a customer-centric digital product strategy in alignment with the overall strategic growth priorities for Vector Logistics.

The incumbent owns the overall digital product success, taking concepts, briefs and ideas and crafting a strategy that delivers business outcomes while guiding the execution of the product to market / customer. The incumbent is the leading driver for building efficient systems and processes within the team that enables innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Innovation Enhancement**:

- Own the product / solution development process including refining and driving efficiencies.
- Identifying innovation trends and business opportunities within the market.
- Lead and drive projects to develop and validate customer and innovation solutions leading to commercialization.
- Lead commercialization efforts to introduce concepts to market.
- Drive data-led decision-making based on data.
- Ensure delivery of a consistent, frictionless, and delightful customer experience across all digital touchpoints of the Vector customer (internally and externally) journey.

**Innovation** **Strategy**:

- Development of the strategy and roadmap, working with strategic leaders and other cross-functional partners to shape and connect the strategy to a viable course of action.
- Drive the strategy and roadmap across portfolios and functional areas, effectively delivering ROI and expected KPI benefits.

**Innovation Reporting**:

- Reporting on and adapting innovative interventions within the company
- Producing of investor reports for the innovation function across the business.

**Knowledge and Skill**:

- An understanding of concepts such as RPA, blockchain, AI, machine learning, and cognitive
- Highly proficient at project planning, budgeting, and
- A solid understanding of innovation and how it should be applied in
- Product strategy, lifecycle management and ownership

**Influence**:

- The Innovation Manager must provide the insight and results of all the data analysis or trial work that has been conducted in collaboration with the Technical team.
- In doing so, ways of working may be impacted, and different feeding strategies may become apparent. The person would influence policy and strategy at the highest level in collaboration and direction from the Technical team.
- Agile methodology - structured into Squads (or teams) working on different projects.
- Do not work with long term plans but rather work to a set of priorities.
- AGILE way - not speed but rather their ability to respond to change.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Degree in Business, IT / Computer Science, Engineering, or another relevant field
- Certified Product Owner / certified SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager (SAFe PO/PM) - (desired).
- 3-5 years' experience in a Leadership position.
- +7 years’ experience in a similar capacity or role, leading the strategic delivery of new, complex, and high-impact products and translating business strategy and analysis into successful products / solutions.
- Extensive experience in product / solution management, with an end-to-end understanding of product / solution development processes.
- Excellent knowledge of lean and agile principles, with the ability to identify and develop viable commercial opportunities in a digital-led business environment.
- Strong technical mindset with experience in user-centred design practice along with an understanding of statistical analysis, machine learning, AI and data modelling across big data sets.
