**Introduction**

Our client is looking for an IT Manager to join their team in Durban.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Compile and manage the technology strategy in alignment with the business strategy, this will including multiple pipeline projects.

Work with internal stakeholders to use new technologies to streamline business process and operational efficiencies while adhering to company policies and processes.

Manage efficiencies of the department as well as the effective delivery of services and solutions.

Management of I.T. team

Prepare and maintain daily / monthly tasks for all IT work

Manage information technology and computer systems - ensure that all areas of the business are operational.

Plan, organise, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.

Stay abreast of the latest developments in IT Technology space and remain highly technically competent at all levels of data processing for enhanced user productivity - through the implementation of new software technology where applicable, and the implementation of policies that more effectively utilise resources.

Establish resilience and a highly available network infrastructure environment to address regulatory and business requirements.

Track, analyse and monitor technology performance metrics.

Performing routine system audits.

Develop innovative network troubleshooting methods that reduce downtime and lower repair costs.

Maintain asset register. Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery and backup procedures and information security and control structures.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**

Matric

IT Diploma or equivalent degree

At least 5 years’ experience working with a large national company.

At least 10 years’ experience with the following:
IT network management - networking, cabling, switches, firewalls, wireless, etc

Software installation and support

Servers and workstations - manage, maintain, report, troubleshooting, etc

Printer and office equipment - installation, troubleshooting and maintenance

Server administration

Backups - creating and maintaining where required

IT assets management

Onboarding of new staff - system requirements.

Managing third party suppliers.

Antivirus and security.
