**Main Purpose**:
**Requirements include**:

- A Psychology Masters degree.
- Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
- Passion for working with students.
- Three years’ experience as a practising psychologist.
- Experience in supervising psychology interns.
- Experience of work in a tertiary institution.

**Responsibilities**:
The successful applicant will be expected to:

- Provide psychological and therapeutic services to undergraduate and post-graduate students in the Faculty of Health Sciences.
- Consult with individual clients and also work with groups.
- Drive initiatives to raise awareness and advocate on mental health issues.
- Provide supervision to intern psychologists.
- Design intervention programmes.
- Prepare documentation and reports for relevant committees.

**Recommendations**:

- Experience in crisis management will be an added advantage.
- Progress towards conceptualising a PhD or intention to register for a PhD is recommended.
