**Support Secretary /Procurement**
Leading Primary School in the northern Suburbs of Johannesburg requires a mature and experienced individual for the role of Principal's Secretary

**The requirements of the position**:

- Grade 12 and a qualification in general administration
- South African citizen
- Police clearance
- Previous working experience within a school environment would be a distinct advantage
- Knowledge of School Management system and SA-SAMS would be a distinct advantage
- Advanced computer literacy in the full Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent command of English (verbal and written communication) is essential
- Exceptional planning and organising skills, with meticulous attention to detail
- Confident, mature individual has the ability to prioritise and work independently at all times
- Strong work ethic, integrity and confidentiality
- Flexible and adaptable with an ability to multitask;
- Willingness to assist in other duties as required by the School;
- Own car and license is essential

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Handle a wide range of confidential information
- Plan, organise and manage various calendars, meetings and events
- General administrative; Minute taking at meetings and financial responsibilities; petty cash, stock take. procurement etc.
- Respond to correspondence and assist Principal
- Interact with parents, staff and learners and the broader community intelligently and respectfully, ensuring high levels of diplomacy and tact
- To assist with regulatory requirements

**Qualifications**:

**Experience**:

- Procurement Experience
- Asset Management Experience

**Skills**:

- Excellent organisational skills
- Advance computer skills - knowledge of ITSI, Edupac and LTSM budget (advantage)
- Project management
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Teams (or similar online system) Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Advanced skills in Excel will be an advantage.
- Sound telephonic etiquette
- Good interpersonal skills
