The Export Sales Representative is responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in international markets, as well as maintaining relationships with existing clients. This is a new position within the company, and previous experience in the wine and spirit industry is required with proven track records.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identifying and researching new international markets and target customers.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Negotiating sales contracts and agreements with international clients.
- Communicating with other international offices, agents, and distributors.
- Traveling to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and logistics, to develop and execute sales strategies.
- Keeping accurate records of all export sales activities and providing regular reports to management.
- Staying informed about new products and industry developments and sharing this information with the management and clients.
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets for export sales.
- Complying with relevant export regulations, laws, and guidelines
- Monitoring and reporting on the activities of competitors.
- Support forecasting and budgeting process for export sales.
- Organizing trade fairs, exhibitions, and other promotional events.
- Maintaining inventory of products and coordinate with warehouse/inventory team to timely fulfill export orders
- Communicating clearly and promptly with clients, handling any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Strong communication skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders in different cultures and through various forms of communication. Fluency in a foreign language can be an asset but is not a necessity.
- Interpersonal skills: The ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, both in person and remotely.
- Adaptability: Must be able to adjust to different cultures, customs, and negotiation styles.
- Initiative: Needs to be proactive in identifying new business opportunities and taking action to pursue them.
- Negotiation skills: Has strong negotiation skills these are crucial in order to close deals and build long-term business relationships with international clients.
- Resilience: As you will encounter obstacles and rejection, it's important to have a thick skin and the ability to bounce back quickly.
- Strong problem-solving skills: Has the ability to think on their feet and find creative solutions to problems is important in this role.
- Time management: Balances a large number of responsibilities, so they require good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong presentation skills: The ability to present products or services effectively and persuasively is important for this role, as it can be a critical aspect in closing deals.
- Persistence: Cold calling, following up on leads, and meeting sales goals. Needs to be persistent and not give up easily.
- Goal-oriented: The ability to set and work towards achieving goals is crucial for success in this role.
- Knowledge of industry and market trends. Understanding the industry and market trends will help the sales representatives to identify new opportunities and to be better prepared for the competition.
- Strong ethical principles: Trust is important for building and maintaining business relationships, and we require the sales representative to have strong ethical principles.

**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R20,000.00 per month
