**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Must have a B.Sc. Agric. in Animal Nutrition, Agricultural or Commercial
- Minimum 3 years experience in a sales environment within the Animal Feed industry will be required
- Must be computer literate
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel
- Good communication and writing skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, are important
- Maintaining major account relationships.
- Participating with other Sales Representatives in developing sales strategies for regional accounts.
- Identifying target accounts and opportunities within the framework of the organization-wide strategy and (organic) growth plans.
- Developing and executing the sales plan for the assigned area in accordance with the set objectives and targets.
- Ensuring the sales plans are realized and sales targets are achieved.
- Approaching and acquiring new customers in a proactive manner through various means to achieve the sales targets.
- Establishing and building strong client relationships over time that allow for continuity and ongoing representation and profitability reinforced by sales support/delivery programs.
- Monitoring competitive activity in each account and ensuring that appropriate response strategies are formulated and communicated.
- Assessing progress within a particular account and make a commercial decision about committing future resources to developing the opportunity.
- Organising customized customer seminars and coordinating applicable targeted marketing activities.
- Building value for the customer by investigation to uncover explicit needs and developing those needs.
- Demonstrating companys capability by explaining how companys products and services match a customers explicit needs.
- Collaborating with the General Manager, Sales manager, Technical Sales Team, Product Development, Pricing and others.
- Preparing customer quotes and concluding the sale of products.
- Aligning (demands and expectations) the internal organization and all relevant stakeholders in order to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining and building own product and technical knowledge in relevant product categories by taking local & global technical trainings.
- Receiving, following up and ensuring resolution of customer complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
- Coordinating, executing, maintaining and / or improve various administrative sales processes and systems, in line with the applicable procedures to ensure an efficient and effective sales administration compliant with policies and regulations.
- Recording the outcome of a sales call and plan future actions which moves the sale towards a successful conclusion including additional investigation (needs identification) where necessary.
- Providing insights to management regarding quantitative and qualitative developments within the assigned area based on reporting guidelines.
- Ensuing all information is appropriately stored and updated, so that management and / or relevant stakeholders can make decisions and determine or adjust sales decisions and strategy.
