**JOB TITLE**: KYC Assistant

**JOB PURPOSE**:
As a KYC Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dynamic KYC Team at Urang Property Management. We are seeking an exceptional individual based in Cape Town who has an interest in Property KYC administration or possesses a basic level of legal or property lease experience and is seeking a challenging role within the scope of administrative property services.
The KYC Assistant supports both the KYC and Urang teams as needed to uphold KYC standards and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory policies. If you are experienced and are looking to excel in a challenging yet rewarding environment, this might just be the role for you.
**KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY**:
- Review leases for properties within buildings to ensure all lease and land registry documents are available and stored within company files.
- Adhere to processes for lease procurement and ensure accurate maintenance of ownership records
- Follow invoicing processes and meet revenue targets.
- Coordinating with the accounts team to ensure all fees are billed and funds received.
- Maintain client relations and ensure policy compliance.
- Participate in team, departmental, and corporate project and planning processes as required.
- To observe the highest possible standards concerning client and customer confidentiality and compliance with Data Protection legislation.
**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Excellent academic qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Understanding of property leases and legal KYC processes
- Experience in the residential property sector or similar industry
- Commitment to customer care and problem-solving

**SALARY AND BENEFITS**:
- R15 000- R18 000 per month (dependent on experience)
- 15 days holidays (plus Public Holidays)
- Training
- Monday-Friday, 9:00am - 18:00pm (SA)
- Remote role
**Note**: This is a remote role that requires you to be based in Cape Town, or surrounding suburbs due to the occasional office visit in Stellenbosch. You will also be required to have reliable internet access during working hours and periods of extended load shedding.
