**Kumba Iron Ore**
We produce high-grade iron ore, the key component in steel widely used in construction and manufacturing across the world. Our activities include all aspects - exploration; mining; processing and blending; shipping; marketing and selling. In South Africa, we have mining operations in the Northern Cape province, as well as a head office in Gauteng, and a port operation in Saldanha Bay, Western Cape.

**Job Description**:
- As Specialist Intelligence and Investigations you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Oversee the intelligence collection processes
- Review risk and translate into intelligence requirements
- Define intelligence requirements and update continuously
- Provide expert intelligence input to senior leadership in the form of verbal and written briefings
- Drive the use of best practices to improve intelligence practices continually
- Liaise with group security intelligence and other external partners
- Conduct change management and communication program to onboard security function and other relevant Kumba functions (e.g., Corporate Affairs and P&O), with support of Principal Investigations and Intelligence
- Manage analysis reports/dashboards for intelligence users (e.g., other AA functions, Group Security)
- Investigate Ethics Committee cases that are highly sensitive and could cause severe reputational damage to KIO
- Manage and lead a team of investigators, including contracted/outsourced at HO as well as all other Kumba sites
- Support the Manager Security Services to prevent the growing threat of industrial espionage and illegal eavesdropping and surveillance
- Enable the company, its employees and other stakeholders to carry out business free from illicit threats and unlawful interference
- Monitor Exploration, Mining, Process and in-transit (on roads, air space and across borders)
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements by conducting market analysis, networking, and international and local benchmarking
- Ensure all businesses comply with corporate governance and policies, statutory, legal and other requirements
**This role is in Safety, Health and Environment at a Band 6 level reporting to Principal Security & Intelligence.**
