Start-up Administrator

SilkStart provides Association Management Software “AMS” for membership-based businesses and non-profits. With software that helps organizations overcome their challenges with membership management, event hosting, job boards, e-commerce, website design and hosting, and fundraising, all packaged together in one integrated system, SilkStart has one of the most complete and user-friendly solutions available on the market today.
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual who is excited about business to join our team as a Start-up Administrator. This role will involve working directly with the COO to perform a range of responsibilities including:
- Managing client billing, receivables, and financial projections
- Updating customer contact records
- Produce and review client proposals and custom development work orders
- Setting up and maintaining customer online advertising directories
- Calling and collecting client suggestions, reviews, and feedback on new service offerings
- Posting jobs and screening applicants
- Creating and refining internal policies, procedures, and system to improve efficiency and client and employee experience
- Posting jobs and reviewing proposals from outside contractors
- Performing market research
This position may serve as a long-term position, or as a milestone position to better determine your skill set and interests before moving into a more defined role in marketing, sales, project management, or customer service.

- **You are competent with Microsoft Office and other software**. You are strong with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and you are a quick learner on other software platforms.
- **You have a post-secondary diploma or equivalent**. Ideally you have completed a diploma or bachelor’s degree in operations, business administration, business management, or entrepreneurship

**Hours and schedules**:
- This is a full time position (40 hours a week, Monday to Friday)
- The schedule will follow U.S. holidays and working hours will be 16:00 pm - 01:00 am (South African Time)
