**_ Position Purpose:_**
- Assist the Senior Specialist Intra Africa to identify revenue generating opportunities on the continent and beyond to through
focussed stakeholder relations
- Establish and maintain close and constructive relationships and networks with key stakeholders.
- Maintain constructive relationships and networks with Foreign Missions in South Africa and South African representation
abroad
- Implement Transnet’s Africa Strategy and Group Business Development’s, vision, mission, goals, strategies and
deliverables including relevant controls, policies and programmes
- Keep abreast of new developments in the industry and competitive strategies and developments globally to respond to ever
changing operational environments
- Utilise opportunities to promote Transnet’s profile, image and brand by participating in trade fairs, exhibitions, promotions
and all other such business development and brand awareness initiatives.
**_Position outputs:_**
- Liaise and engage with key stakeholders across Transnet to ensure integration of programmes, initiatives, services and
activities to enhance stakeholder satisfaction.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of the business in order to align new business opportunities with the relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management and engagements and proactively raise conflicts and issues before the need
arises to relevant Transnet line management.
- Provide early warning systems on issues impacting critical internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in compiling Audit results on behalf of international business
- Assist with monthly EXCO reporting on initiatives and stakeholder management.
- Assist Growth and Diversification in the development and maintenance of the stakeholder management plans for the
respective transactions pursued.
- Assist in the development of briefing notes
- Assist operating divisions with stakeholder relations
- Ensure that the Transnet's Africa Strategy and implementation approach, is in align with is business development function.
- Provide support in the functioning and effectiveness of stakeholder engagements.
- Provide input and maintain the stakeholder engagement and management framework to enable consistent engagements
across all regions while ensuring s compliance to all regulations and principles of good governance.
**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- B-degree in Business Management,International Relations, Strategic management, Economics
- Minimum 5 - 8 years’ experience in stakeholder management and programme management
- Requirement of Trust and Honesty in the handling of Finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19
- Standard Job Requirements- Fluency in either French or Portuguese.
- Understanding of Anglo-phone and Franco-phone cultural norms and nuances.
- Driver’s license code 08
- Travel as required and approved
- Regional, Pan-African and International diplomatic relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to collaborate with other portfolios within Transnet SOC Ltd.
- Willingness to work extended hours
