**Purpose of Position**:
Responsible for execution of the telco group's Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) Procurement category and sourcing strategies within the company in line with the Group Procurement Policy and aligned to corporate objectives to maximise total cost of ownership savings and procurement value contribution.

**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for the development and execution of the CRES Procurement category strategy (50-60%)
- Responsible for the development of the category strategy, supported by the Commercial and Procurement Executive and aligned with the overall category strategy.
- Advise on the appropriate procurement route and process for the full range of Construction, Tower, technical, built-environment consultancy and property-related Supply Chain requirements.
- Leads the analysis and sets the category spend baseline and development of the category profile, including risk assessment and Supplier Relationship Management strategy.
- In collaboration with Group Risk and Compliance, utilise standard processes and tools to meet schedule compliance and develop risk mitigation plans and improve conformity.
- Leads the cross functional sourcing team and measures category practices against best-in-class benchmarks to identify value delivery initiatives.
- Work closely with business owners to ensure alignment to Business Units budget and demand plan, overall corporate strategy and leading practice.
- Lead the medium to complex supplier selection, identification of potential strategic partners and fact based negotiations for the category.
- Manages the strategy implementation and sourcing execution against the established measures and controls in alignment with the overall KPI framework.
- Spend under management of R2 Billion Per Annum and deal sizes worth R0,5 Million - R 900 Million (long term contracts).

Manage internal customer relationships (5-10%)
- Support the management of internal customer feedback and query resolution on category and supplier performance.
- Refine the Operations performance matrix, processes and targets in support of SLA's with internal customers.
- Administer periodic surveys to measure customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Within the framework of the cross functional sourcing and supplier development teams, closely develop and manage the relationship with internal customers.
- Improve and reinforce procurement's profile and recognition within the internal customer community.
- Act as a source of expert market knowledge, insight and advice to customers.

Execution excellence (10%)
- Support the development, maintenance and embedding of category-specific Intellectual Property and best practice.
- Demonstrate and deepen awareness of new technological solutions for procurement operations that will enhance process improvements.
- Monitor outsourced vendor functional performance against agreed performance indicators, trends in business and customer requirements and identify optimisation proposals.

Manage medium to complex supplier relationships and contracts (15-20%)
- In line with the defined procurement strategy, manages the identification, classification and categorisation of suppliers.
- Lead the development and execution of the Go-To-Market and negotiation strategy.
- Responsible for supplier relationship management and performance management.
- Execute supplier development activities.
- Identify and recommend supplier innovations and manage implementation.
- In collaboration with the Compliance and Risk team, asses and defines the supplier risk management plan and mitigation actions.

Manags contract compliance and payment terms as per Group policies (5%)
- Closely monitor contract compliance and flags areas of non-compliance for corrective action.
- Identify methods for optimising user compliance and customer satisfaction.

Execute high value Spot Buys where required (5%)
- Support the team to source high value, unplanned ad hoc demands, to keep control over high spend utilising deep sourcing/ category expertise.

Manage people performance and development (10%)
- Manage the performance, development and implementation of the team's learning and growth plans and provides coaching and mentoring to ensure ongoing learning and development.
- Provide comprehensive advice, insights, guidance and service on best practice procurement.
